1. Mission Statement
We are a group of Artists based in the Carrigaline catchment area committed to the promotion of Fine Art, Craft and Design both nationally and internationally. We aim to provide a space to show, promote and sell artwork - working together as a group to support one another and to impact positively on the wider community.
A very diverse range of Art disciplines will be represented by artists who work in any static visual media including painting, drawing, print, photography, textiles, ceramics, wood, glass, Jewellery and wall or floor standing sculpture.
The Owenabue Arts Collective also acts as an Art Centre giving opportunity to other fledgling artists and provides a space to the wider Community facilitating musicians, writers, poets and dance performers, Local Schools and interested groups.
The Owenabue Arts Collective is committed to supporting others achieve excellence in their field . Our immediate long-term aim is to provide a dedicated space under a long lease. The Owenabue Arts Collective is following and adhering strictly to HSE Guidelines for COVID-19 procedures.

1. Direct selling opportunities through OAC events.
2. Art and Craft work stocked at the Temporary Gallery in Carrigaline and online at www.owenabuearts.ie

5. Networking opportunities.
6. Unlike many galleries and other organisations, OAC takes a minimum commission assuring the craft worker greater income.
3. Terms and Conditions
⦁ Artists must live in the Carrigaline or surrounding areas.
⦁ Artists must exhibit a suitable standard in their chosen artform. A panel including two external independent adjudicators can recommend to accept or refuse an applicant depending on the quality of the applicants work.
⦁ Artists must have at least 75% of their display for sale.
⦁ Be willing to style and present their area or shelf in a professional manner. For instance Jewellery must be displayed on appropriate stands etc. Tags, a logo, flyers or business cards are an advantage.
⦁ Be willing to alter their display area over time, to rotate their items on sale to keep including new items and make it look inviting.
⦁ Give one month's notice before withdrawing their artwork.
⦁ Agree to the terms and conditions of the Owenabue Arts Collective.
⦁ To achieve diversity in the artwork on sale, Artists may be placed on a waiting list. For example if a Ceramic designer has attained the required standard of entry for their work but there is already another Ceramicist in the Collective with similar pieces, then that person may need to wait until a space becomes available.
⦁ A standard €20 OAC fee, per month, per artist will apply regardless of sales achieved.
⦁ 20% Commission from the sales with be charged with 10% of this going directly back into the local Carrigaline Tidy Towns Committee. The remaining 10% plus the standard €20 fee will go towards running costs including administration, advertising, printing, ethical packaging, accounts, equipment, furniture etc.
⦁ At the end of each calendar month our manager will settle the books and pay each person from the previous months takings less the 20% commission and the standard €20 fee. Where there are no takings for a particular individual, it is each individual's responsibility to pay this €20 fee on the first of every month directly to The OAC.
⦁ Management responsibilities include administration, advertising, printing, press releases, liaising with the Arts Council and other state bodies, applying for grants, managing social media accounts, sourcing ethical packaging, settling accounts, public liability, sourcing equipment and furniture & negotiating rent.
⦁ All representations to Funding applications, Press Releases or Councillors on behalf of the OAC must go through the core members.
⦁ All artists must provide a Bio, suitable sized images of artwork to sell online, links to Instagram, Facebook and individual websites and any other appropriate information. This information will be available on the Members Page of the OAC website. This may lead to increased sales for all participating artists. Members can update the page by keeping us informed of any other Exhibitions, received an award, newspaper coverage etc which will be highlighted as news on the website.
⦁ All Artists must provide an up to date stock list of items.
⦁ All Artists are responsible for their own tax returns.
⦁ All Artists must acknowledge the support of the CAC and the Cork County Council in websites, social media, press releases and any printed promotional materials.
⦁ Founding Members Mary Murphy, Keith O Brien and Stephen Murphy are lifetime members of the OAC Collective and Administration Panel.

Owenabue Arts Collective is a not for profit organisation and a social enterprise. We rely on our members to help us run the organisation by volunteering a little of their time. Regular members are asked to volunteer a minimum of 1 day per month to help run the organisation. Amenable members will be listed on a database and may occasionally be called on to help

In order for your membership to be processed; you are required to submit 4 High Quality Images of your current work for promotional purposes.

Instructions:
Stage 1: IMAGE RESIZING
1. On the Homepage click on ‘edit’.
2. Select image to be resized.
3. Scroll down panel on left hand side and click resize.
4. In the boxes provided change the largest no to 300 & ensure that the ‘keep proportions’ box is ticked.
5. Please note that in order for your image to be uploaded it needs to be under 100KB in size
6. Click ‘apply’
7. On the left hand side of the page click on ‘save’ rename & click on ‘save to my computer’.
8. Repeat the process for all images.
Stage 2: SUBMITTING YOUR IMAGES
